Ingrown toenails occur when the skin on the side of a toenail grows over the edge of the nail or when the nail grows into the skin. They can be very painful and lead to serious infections if not treated.
Common causes of ingrown nails are improper trimming, tight shoes, trauma, or a hereditary condition.
I treat this condition by performing an advanced procedure that is both painless and permanent, a non -traumatic matrixectomy:
A “needle free” transversal injector is first utilized to anesthetize the affected toe. A small portion of the ingrown nail and matrix (the tissue where the nail grows from) is removed using a special nail splitter instrument. Rather than having to apply a tight tourniquet, and burning the matrix with a chemical solution (which is the common method used today), and causing inflammation and pain. The matrix is excised by using a small burr. The procedure lasts 5 minutes. There is no post operative pain and the patient may resume normal activities within 3 days.
Stop suffering from ingrown nails once and for all make an appointment!
The cost for the procedure and all post operative visits is only $180.00
